How many rooms do you have?

We have 22 inn rooms, suites and cottages located on five acres in the heart of Middleburg.

Do you have in-room dining?

While we don’t offer full service in room dining, we do deliver breakfast to your room each morning, and offer a local artisanal cheese board for enjoying in the comfort of your room.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in begins at 4:00PM and check-out is before 11:00AM.

Do you have a fitness center on property?

While we do not have a fitness center on the property, our Concierge Department would love to help plan a run through Middleburg or a hiking excursion.

Is there a Business Center?

We do not have a Business Center, but if you would like to email us any documents that need to be printed or if you need assistance printing boarding passes, we would be more than happy to assist you!

What is the maximum occupancy of your guest rooms?

Per Fire Marshall Code, all guest rooms and suites are double occupancy, excluding Gold Cup which can accommodate three guests. Our two cottages, The Middleburg Cottage and The Stable can accommodate up to four guests. Children under the age of four may accompany their parents in a double occupancy room.

Is there WiFi on the property?

We have complimentary WiFi in all buildings throughout the property.

May we use the grounds for a wedding ceremony or photo shoot?

Our timeless entertaining destination is the perfect backdrop for your intimate wedding or festive celebration. Please contact Red Fox Events to start planning.

Where do we check-in?

Inn Registration is located at 1 North Madison Street on the second floor of The Red Fox. Please do not unload your luggage prior to check-in as our inn rooms, suites and cottages are located throughout the complex.

Do you offer concierge services?

We’d love to help you plan your escape to Middleburg! Please contact our Concierge Department for our recommendations of the best in Hunt & Wine Country.

Do you allow smoking on the property?

Smoking is prohibited in ALL buildings and only allowed in designated areas on the property.

Do you offer corporate rates for executive retreats?

We offer group discounts, when available, and we have on-site meeting space to host your next executive retreat. Please contact our Events Department to receive rate information and meeting space availability to begin the planning process.

Do you have on-site parking?

We have a private parking lot located behind The Red Fox building. The lot is available on a first come basis for use throughout your stay. Pull forward to the gate to enter or exit at your leisure. If the lot is full, the Town of Middleburg has ample free street parking.

Do you have an elevator or bell service?

As we are a historic property, we do not have elevators in any of the buildings on our complex. We would be more than happy to assist you with your bags to your room, but please do not unload your luggage prior to check-in as rooms are located throughout the complex.

What time do quiet hours begin?

Quiet hours begin at 10:30PM. Noise and chatter carry throughout the hallways in The Red Fox building. For the most secluded and quiet stay, choose a room or cottage in The Stray Fox.

What is included in your stay?

Daily complimentary breakfast includes gourmet favorites along with coffee and hot tea, delivered to your Guest Room from 7:30AM to 9:00AM. WiFi is available throughout the property at no charge. Bottled water is refreshed daily in each Guest Room.

What is your cancellation policy?

In order to guarantee your room reservation, a deposit of the first night’s stay will be due at the time of booking. Any cancellations made prior to 8 days of arrival will result in a $50 cancellation fee per room. Within 8 days of arrival, your remaining balance will be charged and the reservation is considered confirmed and non-refundable. As a small, family-operated business, late cancellations and shortened stays greatly impact us. Within 8 days of your arrival, you are responsible for all the charges of your original booking, even if you are unable to join us as originally planned. We highly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to account for any unplanned occurrences.

Do you allow pets on property?

Pets are prohibited in all of our Guest Rooms. We reserve the right to cease service to any guest who disrespects these policies and/or charge a fee to the credit card on file. We recommend Happy Dog Retreat, a local boarding facility that is located a few miles from The Red Fox Inn & Tavern.

What is due at the time of booking?

The total cost of the first night is due at the time of booking to secure your reservation. The remaining balance will be charged 8 days prior to your check-in.
